Sandy Cornwall Court — Cantilever Pavilion, Concrete Patio & Belgard Walls

Project overview

This Sandy, Utah homeowner came to Black Diamond Landscape with an underutilised backyard that needed a covered outdoor room and grade control. The project scope covered a complete backyard renovation at Cornwall Court — a custom cantilever-style pavilion over a custom concrete patio, a Belgard retaining wall system to manage grade changes and create defined terraces, BioGrass drought-tolerant sod, Glover Nursery planting and low-voltage landscape lighting.

The cantilever-style pavilion creates a covered outdoor room above the custom concrete patio, providing a year-round destination for dining and entertaining. Belgard retaining walls — not Belgard pavers — hold grade so the pavilion and concrete patio sit on level ground. BioGrass sod and Glover Nursery plant material provide a low-maintenance, region-appropriate landscape alongside the wall system.

Landscape lighting was installed throughout — illuminating the Belgard retaining wall, concrete patio, decorative stone, path edges and the approach to the pavilion. The result is a fully functional, year-round outdoor living environment built around a covered room and a finished grade.
